On Oct. 19 2016, Hillary Clinton’s opponent in the Presidential race referred to her as a “Nasty Woman.” And a feminist movement was born.
Embracing the Nasty Woman title, On Jan 17, 2017 millions of women protested around the world. Nearly 500,000 protested in Washington DC where Ashley Judd read the poem, “I am a Nasty Woman” by Nina Donavan. Since then, women proudly own the title as they work to support each other, protect women’s rights and bring change to their communities.
We have a Public and Private Page on Facebook... Ask to join. We also are on instagram & Twitter aka X public pages.!
to help women harness their own strengths to go out and make a positive impact on their world
NWPC allows like-minded women to connect, mobilize and promote causes that will lead to more inclusive, safer, vibrant community. It is meant to be a source of strength and inspiration,
a place to learn, test our ideas, and find a path forward in a world that increasingly goes backwards.
NWPC does not endorse candidates, is not a charitable organization, and cannot promise resources for any particular activity. Individuals within NWPC might do these things, and we hope they do
Approve, decline, and fact check posts, vet members, moderate discussions and look for opportunities our members might be interested in. What we CAN’T DO: give money to every event/activity, be at every event/activity, head up every event/activity. Our goal is to get YOU to go out and get it done because just like all of you, we’re not necessarily cut out to run for office, but some of us are. We’re not all available or physically capable of protesting or protecting. But some of us are., We’re not all financially able to support every initiative. And like YOU, we each have our own personal pet projects within this group and outside of it.
Our job is to inspire you. In return, inspire us back with your ingenuity, your get ‘er done attitudes, your willingness to try something new, a little scary, a little out of your comfort zone.
We have done simple things, like collections for the local food bank. We have helped at the women's shelter. Marched in Parades. Book Club to discuss strong women. Become involved in local politics... supporting and becoming local candidates that support women.
We have "Speak Your Truth" events.
